PETALUMA Coonawarra 1991 Imperial (6L)

PETALUMA

$1,900.00

Medium body, the colour is a touch advanced with deep brick red. The nose is very similar to the 1990 with aroma of leather, truffle, spice and confectionery and again quite perfumed. The fruit flavours are beginning to fade with truffle, spice and leather being the dominant flavour components. Fine, dry tannins, well balanced, with long stewed fruit, leather and spice aftertaste. Petaluma are not known for their Cabernet except for extraordinary years and this was one of those. In 750ml format the wine is at its peak, the imperial will still be young.

Please note this is one of 6 bottles ever created. The one I have Is signed by the winemaker and is a special drop. I was present when one of the remaining 5 was consumed whilst at a vineyard in  Orange. Therefore 1 of 5. If it is not sold I will happily consume this one at my next birthday. Make me sell this one
