This is our third release Reserve Shiraz, a total of 5 Gold, 6 Silver and II Bronze medals together with a trophy have been awarded to the first two releases.
This remarkable 1996 wine follows and builds on the excellent reputation this label has quickly established.Produced from 60 year old vines on our own vineyards and matured in new American oak barriques for 18 months, the resultant wine is rich and powerful. Classic Shiraz aromas of blackberry, plum and pepper combined with vanillia oak are evident on the nose with strong fruit flavours and firm tannins making a truly complete wine.Long term cellaring under ideal conditions will further improve the wine.
Reviews
Strong red-purple; there is beautifully balanced fruit and oak on both bouquet and palate with sweet chocolatey fruit balanced by fine milky vanilla oak and tannins on the palate. Despite all of the depth and lusciousness of the fruit, the wine has finesse to the point of delicacy.
