Lovely deep ruby translucent colour. Attractive, very concentrated, berry rich nose with subtle notes of leather. Gorgeous in the mouth once some initial acidity had blown away (notwithstanding 4 hours' prior decanting).
Great balance of fruit, tannin and oak in the mouth, all completely resolved but still very youthful and vibrant. Really impressive length. Definite silence-creating qualities.
